Welcome to Westover Community Church—Westover’s next faithful chapter, built on the same gospel and the same mission we have shared since 1955 (formerly known as Westover Baptist Church). We are an American Baptist church rooted in faith, guided by prayer, and built for community—committed to growing in faith and love as we worship and connect, while honoring a 70‑year legacy. Centered on Jesus Christ as our Savior, Lord, and example, we seek to live out a simple question in everyday life: “What would Jesus do?”
We love God’s Word and we study the Bible together, trusting God to shape our hearts and guide our steps. We believe in the power of prayer, and we pray the way Jesus taught us—the Lord’s Prayer—asking that God’s kingdom would come and God’s will would be done on earth as it is in heaven.
We believe the Bible’s message that all have sinned and that sin separates us from God—but also the good news that Jesus died on the cross so our sins can be forgiven. When we put our faith in Jesus, we become God’s precious children. And while we are not saved by good works, we are called to serve: to know God, love God, and serve God by doing good in our community and partnering joyfully with Christians from other denominations.
