A free, community-wide, two-day worship and prayer conference centered on Jesus—designed to refresh your heart, strengthen your faith, and unite the community.
Join us for a community‑wide weekend of worship, prayer, and encouragement at Westover Community Church in Des Moines, Iowa.
Friday Night
Begin the conference with vibrant, multicultural praise and worship featuring teams from across the Des Moines area—Spanish, Zotung, and English voices united in one heart of worship. The evening also includes a powerful message in song from Gospel Recording Artist, Sue Spencer.
Saturday
Come ready to be inspired and refreshed. The day begins with uplifting worship, meaningful fellowship, and an impactful message from Sue Spencer followed by a breakout session focused on prayer in difficult seasons "Prayer Through the Unthinkable". The afternoon session includes a dynamic message from Joe Jackson, evangelist and former NFL player. Throughout the weekend, you’ll experience connection, encouragement, and the presence of God in a welcoming, community‑focused environment.
Enjoy complimentary refreshments throughout the day, including coffee, cold beverages, and morning snacks. We’ll also provide a free lunch, giving you time to relax and connect before the afternoon session begins.
This event is free to attend. If you feel led, an optional free‑will offering will be taken to support the ministry of Westover Community Church and to bless our guest speakers, Sue Spencer and Joe Jackson, as they pour into our community.
Sue Spencer is a seasoned preacher, gifted vocalist, educator, and business owner whose life reflects unwavering dedication to the Kingdom of God. Whether preaching or singing, Sue ministers with authenticity, compassion, and a deep desire to see lives changed by the power of Christ.
Beyond the pulpit and the stage, Sue services faithfully at Strong Tower Outreach Ministries and in the Philadelphia Public School System. In addition to her ministry and educational work, Sue is a successful business owner, using her gifts and experience to empower others and strengthen her community. Her life and leadership continue to inspire, uplift, and point people toward the hope found in Jesus Christ.
Joe Jackson is a retired NFL player and passionate evangelist whose life reflects a bold commitment to sharing the hope of Jesus Christ. After years of competing at the highest level of professional football, Joe now dedicates his platform, influence, and testimony to advancing the Gospel.
Known for his authenticity, humility, and powerful storytelling, Joe speaks with a heart to see lives transformed. His messages connect faith, perseverance, and purpose—drawing from his journey on and off the field to point people toward the life‑changing love of Christ.
Today, Joe travels the country encouraging churches, youth, and communities with a message of restoration, identity, and unwavering faith. Whether speaking to a stadium or a small gathering, he carries the same passion: to lift up Jesus and inspire others to walk boldly in their God‑given calling.
We are thrilled to welcome praise and worship teams from across our community—celebrating the beautiful diversity of Spanish, Zotung, and English congregations. Together, we’ll lift our voices in a powerful time of worship, and everyone is encouraged to join in. No matter the language, prayer and praise are universal, and God meets us as one people in His presence.
